The 2024 Father Fred Giving Garden, a partnership between Father Fred and SEEDS EcoCorps, is well underway. The Giving Garden, located at Historic Barns Park, provides healthy, chemical-free food for our pantry guests. Last year, we harvested 800 lbs of food! Volunteers have planted a variety of tomatoes, peppers, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, green beans, lettuce, squash, and potatoes.

Want to be a part of the fun? We need help! Father Fred volunteers and SEEDS employees meet every Tuesday, around 8 am. If interested in joining for the morning please email Allison Dean, Volunteer Manager at She will pass your contact information on to the Father Fred Giving Garden lead volunteer. Helping with the garden is a great opportunity to enjoy the weather outside, while working on a fulfilling project alongside fellow volunteers. If Tuesday mornings don’t fit your schedule, help is always needed any time you’re available to stop by to weed and/or water. Thanks for considering!
